Anonymous Donor Matches Gifts from Young Alumni

Young alumni who graduated since 2000 have a special opportunity to double their gift to Winthrop and purchase an engraved brick for a special price.

A generous donor, who wishes to remain anonymous, has offered to match young alumni gifts to the Winthrop Fund dollar for dollar up to a total of $10,000. That means a gift of $25 would now be a gift of $50. The Garnet and Gold Young Alumni Challenge will run until Dec. 31, 2010.

“The goal of this challenge is to increase giving participation among young alumni. A gift of any amount is greatly appreciated, and it helps support students,” said Teleia White, director of annual giving.

For a limited time, young alumni are also invited to purchase an engraved brick to be placed on Scholar’s Walk for the student price of $150. The brick purchase will also be matched dollar for dollar.

The Winthrop Fund supports student scholarships, faculty and staff awards, the Alumni Association, and other key initiatives. Learn more about the Winthrop Fund.
