As a former student-athlete and a member of The Varsity Club you will be supporting the sport in which you participated while at Winthrop. While the Eagle Club supports scholarship opportunities for all Winthrop sports, you now have a chance to support YOUR sport. By becoming a member of The Varsity Club, your contribution will go 100% to support your former sport. The club’s structure will apply 50% of your membership to scholarships for your former sport and 50% towards the operational support of your sport.

All it takes to be a member of this proud group is to make a contribution of at least $100 per year to The Varsity Club. If you can give more, you are encouraged to do so. Please consult your tax advisor regarding any possible tax benefit.

In return for your continued support, you will be provided with the following benefits:
• Free admission to all Winthrop home athletic events
• Use of Winthrop tennis and golf facilities
• Access to all Eagle Club general hospitality activities
• Special social event during Homecoming each year
• Recognition in Winthrop publications and on the athletics web site
