No. Once you have reached alumni status, you are automatically considered a member of the Winthrop Alumni Association.

A person regularly enrolled at Winthrop University for at least one year shall be an alumna/us. A person who has completed less than a year may request to be listed as an alumna/us, with approval from the Executive Director of the Winthrop Alumni Association.
