The Winthrop Alumni Association hosts annual reunions for alumni, whether to recognize milestone class anniversaries or to reunite former students with similar Winthrop experiences. 

As a signature alumni event, Alumni Reunion brings together classes celebrating their 35th, 40th, 45th, 50th, 55th, 60th, 65th, 70th, 75th, and 80th reunions to showcase the Winthrop campus through walking or trolley tours; reunite alumni during parties on campus, in the homes of local alumni, and at local restaurants; and to recognize distinguished alumni during reunion activities with awards for professional achievement or dedication to the university.

In 2011, the executive board of the Winthrop Alumni Association voted at its fall meeting to combine the university’s signature alumni events – Alumni Reunion Celebration and Homecoming.
