Teleia brings nearly a decade of higher education experience to her position as Associate Vice President for Development. Her tasks include working with the Annual Fund Loyalty Council and managing a team responsible for planning and administering an annual giving program at Winthrop. Furthermore, Teleia personally solicits donors and supervises annual giving programs, including Go Gold for Life, parent giving programs, class reunion gifts, and the faculty/staff campaign.
In addition to her involvement in several campus-wide committees at Winthrop, Teleia holds membership in Annual Fundraising Professions (AFP), Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), and Carolinas Annual Fund Conference (CAFC). She worked as the CASE III judging coordinator for 2007-08 and currently serves as roundtable co-chair, and she also served as the CAFC organizer for 2008 and a presenter for the past three years.
Prior to rejoining Winthrop in 2005, Teleia worked in Alumni Relations, Admissions, and Development at three higher education institutions in the southeast.
“I feel very lucky to work with alumni and friends of this great university to raise funds for such an important cause—to keep the Winthrop experience rich in every way for our students and the community!”
